The matcha tea ceremony represents an artistic form of life, concentrating on the art of tea ceremony, calligraphy, painting, flower Taoism, incense Taoism, and Zen. Matcha, a green tea powder also known as "mocha," originated in the Tang Dynasty. During the Southern Song Dynasty, Zen masters Suen Sen-ichi and Dae-Ying introduced matcha to Japan, where it was used in the tea ceremony, brewed thick as bean soup and stirred with a brush until a large amount of foam was produced, then poured into bowls and served to the guests.

For over 500 years, bamboo has been used to create the traditional Japanese tea whisk. Conventional metal whisks can leave a bitter taste in the tea, so we honor that tradition by using high-quality bamboo to create our authentic matcha tools. Bamboo is harder than maple wood yet ultra-lightweight, making it the perfect material for our Matcha tools.

The set includes a matcha whisk, traditional scoop, matcha bowl, matcha powder caddy, ceramic whisk holder, tea cloth, tea cloth holder, scoop holder, and matcha powder strainer. Our products do not include matcha powder. To use the set, first wipe the bowl clean, then use the bamboo scoop to take two or three scoops of matcha from the powder caddy and sift it into the bowl. Next, pour boiling water into the matcha bowl, mix the matcha powder and water with the whisk, and stir to create a fine and dense foam to enjoy the authentic matcha tea. After enjoying the matcha tea, fill the matcha bowl with hot water to clean the whisk, and finally place it on the whisk holder to dry.
